After a string of six wins, the Southlake Carroll Dragons's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 75-54 loss at the hands of Brandeis.
Rian Forestier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brandeis, shooting 7-for-9 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 39 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Forestier's 19th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Ramos, who scored 16 points along with 5 assists.
Southlake Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Brandeis, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Southlake Carroll's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hays at 12:30 p.m. on December 2nd. One thing working in Hays' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. As for Brandeis, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Coppell at 10:30 a.m. Coppell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Brandeis is ranked 39th).
