Baseball Recap: East Rowan Extends Winning Streak to Six

East Rowan waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Concord Spiders an 11-0 shutout. The Mustangs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st (when they won 11-0).

Julian Cauble tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Harrison Ailshie, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Ketchie, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

East Rowan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concord struck out eight times.

East Rowan's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

East Rowan will face off against Lake Norman Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
