The Roosevelt Rough Riders will play host again and welcome the Tallmadge Blue Devils, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Roosevelt suffered their closest loss since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Aurora by a score of 53-50.
The losing side was boosted by Tyrel Ellington, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Jack Smith was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Tallmadge pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Cuyahoga Falls 61-56.
Roosevelt has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Tallmadge, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.
Roosevelt was able to grind out a solid win over Tallmadge in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 48-41. Does Roosevelt have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tallmadge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
