Baseball Recap: Lake Beats Union for Their Third Straight Victory

Lake entered their tilt with Union on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Yellowjackets 14-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-3 two weeks ago.

Jd Gibson and Trey Gray did most of the damage at the plate: Gibson scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Gray scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Gray is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Kasen Tune was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .516 or higher in three consecutive games.

Lake's record is now 19-4. As for Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.
