Northridge is 3-0 against Mishawaka since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northridge Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Mishawaka Cavemen at 7:45 p.m. Northridge will be strutting in after a victory while Mishawaka will be coming in after a defeat.
Northridge can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They claimed a resounding 72-36 win over NorthWood at home. Given Northridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while NorthWood is ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camryn Conley, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Lily Scholl, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Mishawaka's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. Their tough 50-27 defeat to Wawasee might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mishawaka has suffered since December 1, 2023.
Northridge pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.58 points. As for Mishawaka, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Northridge beat Mishawaka 61-53 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
