The Dixon Bulldogs's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They strolled past Neuse Charter with points to spare, taking the game 72-54.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dixon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Anderson-Sidbury, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Tozier, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Klayton Tew, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tew pulled down eight or more rebounds. Jayvin Bradley was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Dixon now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Neuse Charter, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Clinton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Friday. As for Neuse Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Princeton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
