Marian faced Bellevue West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 1-0. Marian's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Bellevue West, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Coming up, Marian is taking a road trip to face off against Papillion-LaVista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Papillion-LaVista's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Marian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bellevue West, they will square off against Omaha Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
