While losing is never fun, West Florence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Red Foxes are ranked 33rd).
Hartsville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooke Mitchell, who scored 13 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jazzy Frierson, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
West Florence has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Hartsville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Florence will face off against the Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hartsville, they will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
