The Sanford-Fritch Eagles lost against the Sunray Bobcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sanford-Fritch took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunray. Sanford-Fritch has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ariadna De la rosa was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals for Sunray. Those 11 steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Adamariz Mendoza, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Sanford-Fritch's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Sunray, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sanford-Fritch will take on Booker at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Booker is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Sunray, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Texas at 6:15 p.m. West Texas is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
