The Fairwinds Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They took a 72-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chestertown Christian Academy. Fairwinds Christian has struggled against Chestertown Christian Academy recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Fairwinds Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jaiden Rajis scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rajis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Levi Rajis, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chestertown Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than John Stoltzfus, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 20 rebounds. Stoltzfus is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Brian Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
Fairwinds Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Calvary Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Fairwinds Christian will host Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Chestertown Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
