She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Dorchester Academy got a massive performance out of Brinley Pope, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Pope a new career-high. Lily Canady was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Dorchester Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Andrew Jackson Academy only posted an OBP of .250.
The win made it two in a row for Dorchester Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal.
