The Caldwell Academy Eagles will head out to  square off against the Calvary Day School Cougars  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Caldwell Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season.
Caldwell Academy picked up another tournament win  on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Ballantyne Ridge  6-5. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Eagles.
 Liam Schooley looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Reid Silvers and  Spencer McBurney did most of the damage at the plate:  Silvers  went 2-for-3 with one  triple and two  RBI, while  McBurney  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  McBurney a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Calvary Day School had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of  5-2.
 Anthony Hill tossed a big game,   tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has become a key player for Calvary Day School: the team is 5-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 4-5 otherwise.
 At the plate, Calvary Day School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Rex Steward, who  went 1-for-3 with one  RBI.  Austin Setliff also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 Calvary Day School pushed their record up to 9-6 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Caldwell Academy, their record now sits at 8-11.
Tuesday's   matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Caldwell Academy has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .440. However, it's not like Calvary Day School struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Caldwell Academy suffered a grim  11-1 defeat to Calvary Day School  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
