Blackfoot is a perfect 10-0 against Shelley since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Broncos will welcome the Russets at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blackfoot has three straight wins, Shelley has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Blackfoot barely beat Idaho Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Broncos blew past the Tigers 13-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Broncos have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cash Dahle tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has become a key player for Blackfoot: the team is 7-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 4-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Griffin Ross was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Conner Cannon, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Blackfoot always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Shelley came up short against Jerome on Tuesday and fell 5-1.
Shelley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Beck, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Shelley's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Blackfoot, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Shelley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Blackfoot hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. It's a different story for Shelley, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Blackfoot's hitters?
Everything went Blackfoot's way against Shelley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Blackfoot made off with an 11-1 win. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Russets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
