The Glen Allen Jaguars's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over J.R. Tucker. Given Glen Allen's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while J.R. Tucker is ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glen Allen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Faron Friend out in front who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamden Tiller, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Glen Allen's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for J.R. Tucker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Glen Allen will play host again and welcome Deep Run, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Deep Run focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Friday. As for J.R. Tucker, they will head out on the road to take on Hermitage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
