Pace is a perfect 5-0 against Fort Walton Beach since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Pace Patriots will take on the Fort Walton Beach Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Pace blew past Destin, posting a 38-6 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-6.

Amaya Pablo was nothing short of spectacular: she threw for 160 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in February of 2024. Emily Good was in the mix as well, providing Pace with two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pace's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Bella Ortiz and Maci McGinnis, who racked up all four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Fort Walton Beach hadn't done well against Gulf Breeze recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Fort Walton Beach took their contest with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over Gulf Breeze. The Vikings pushed the score to 27-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dolphins had little chance of recovering from.
A big part of Fort Walton Beach's victory came down to the chemistry between Gabby Kruse and her top target Renee Bailey. Kruse threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns while Bailey picked up 103 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Kruse also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making three total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

The win made it two in a row for Pace and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points over those games. As for Fort Walton Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Everything came up roses for Pace against Fort Walton Beach when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as the team secured a 32-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pace since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
