Armani Estevez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1.
Centennial's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .483. It's a different story for Centennial, though, as they've only averaged .312. Will they be able to contain Central's hitters?
Central got the 'W' in their previous matchup on Tuesday against Centennial by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
