Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for South Fork

South Fork waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the St. Bernard's Crusaders as they made off with an 11-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Mackenzie Coleman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Kendall Kercher was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

South Fork pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Bernard's, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South Fork will face off against rival Ferndale at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Bernard's is set to square off against their familiar foe Hoopa Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
