The Buchholz Bobcats's game on Tuesday was all tied up 29-29 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Hawthorne 65-60. Buchholz was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hawthorne apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Hawthorne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but CJ Ingram led the charge by scoring 24 points along with two steals. Ingram hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Rollerson, who scored 15 points.
Buchholz's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Hawthorne, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buchholz will take on Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hawthorne, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on P.K. Yonge at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. P.K. Yonge is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
