Johnson waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took down the LEE Volunteers 50-31. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Volunteers are ranked 743rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ahlias Isaac, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Isaac has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ian Rizo, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Johnson has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for LEE, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will face off against Churchill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season. As for LEE, they will square off against Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LEE is facing Madison at the right time seeing as Madison is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
