On Friday, Mauston took a serious blow against Lodi, falling 49-3. Mauston was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-3.
Tyler Link threw for 61 yards on nine of 26 attempts.
Mason Lane had a dynamite game for Lodi, throwing for 158 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Lodi also got a significant boost from Brady Puls, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Mauston now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lodi, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Mauston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lodi will face off against West Salem at 0:00 a.m. on Friday. West Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Lodi is ranked 18th).
