Helias was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Christian Brothers. The Crusaders came in at 17 in the state poll after placing at number 33 last week.
Kelly moved up to 261 from 310 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Freelance. The Hawks were able to move up by defeating Portageville 30-6.
Adam Davis threw for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 13-22 with 0 interceptions.
Vonzell Stamps was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 114 yards on 13 carries as University Academy Charter beat Southwest Early College. Teammate Isaiah Newman added to the ground attack by rushing for 76 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Davis of Lighthouse Christian is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,146. He has also thrown 16 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Isaiah Holyfield. The Central star has 31 catches for 495 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rock Bridge takes on Jefferson City. At the moment, the Bruins are in 14th, while the Jays are in eighth.
The Rams extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Southwest Early College, 46-8. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
