Hammond Bishop Noll fell just short of Valparaiso by a score of 61-58. Hammond Bishop Noll has struggled against Valparaiso recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amauri Moore, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. DeMarcius Royster was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Hammond Bishop Noll's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Valparaiso, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Hammond Bishop Noll and Evergreen Park will round out the year against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. One thing working in Evergreen Park's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Valparaiso, they will take on Homestead at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Homestead will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Valparaiso is ranked 50th).
