The Rich Rebels posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. Everything went their way against Altamont as Rich made off with a 65-41 win. With Rich ahead 40-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Rich was led to victory by Jaden Desch and Carter Hoffman. Desch scored 14 points, while Hoffman scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoffman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carson Muirbrook, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Altamont's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Panas, who scored 15 points along with five blocks. Panas hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Arnold, who scored ten points.
Altamont struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Rich pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Rich is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Altamont, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rich won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wendover at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th. Wendover has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 553 points over their last eight matchups. As for Altamont, Altamont and Manila will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
