Kenwood is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northwest Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Kenwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.

Kenwood gave up the first goal last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Montgomery Central 2-1. The game was the first time Kenwood have beaten Montgomery Central on their pitch since April 30, 2019.

Denis Alvarado Juarez and Tumaini Murokore scored both of Kenwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Northwest fell victim to Greenbrier and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 1-0.

Northwest now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Kenwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
