The Rockwell Marshals entered their tilt with the Draper APA Eagles with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Rockwell managed a 66-62 victory over Draper APA on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Luke Henderson, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. The match was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Haueter, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Rockwell pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Draper APA, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockwell's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Intermountain Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Intermountain Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 back in December of 2023. As for Draper APA, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Waterford is ranked 129th, while Draper APA is ranked 132nd).
