If the Alpha Omega Academy Lions were riding high off their 51-19 takedown of the Calvary Baptist Eagles on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Alpha Omega Academy took a serious blow against Legacy Prep Christian Academy on Friday, falling 77-11. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alpha Omega Academy has scored all season.
Leading Legacy Prep Christian Academy to victory were Molly Steed and Charlotte Freeman. Steed scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals, while Freeman dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The game was Steed's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hailey Carr, who scored 13 points.
Alpha Omega Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Legacy Prep Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Alpha Omega Academy will head out on the road to face off against Covenant Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Covenant Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday. Legacy Prep Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Concordia Lutheran at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th.
