Bartow (Fla.) is back on top as a Florida state champion, winning the school's ninth title after beating Pace 5-1 in a matchup that featured two of the top Class of 2024 pitchers in the country. Florida commit
Katelynn "Red" Oxley struck out 16, allowed two hits and was on the winning side of the Class 6A title game. LSU commit Jordan Heavner was fantastic as well, striking out 14, bringing her total to 300 on the year.
After a wet and soggy night,
Jackson (Mill Creek, Wash.) brought home a third state championship since 2018. The Timberwolves played rival Glacier Park, a school five miles away, and prevailed 5-1 in the Class 4A state championship.
