Lake Oswego (Ore.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 41-20 victory over
Canby (Ore.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Jack Anderson touchdown run in the second quarter, the Lakers led 27-7 at the half.
Lake Oswego expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. LO's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
JB Holmes.
The Lakers' standout player in the win was
Justen Ruppe. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
Sam Stelk made a difference for the Cougars. The senior quarterback ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
A 42-14 Lake Oswego victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Canby defeated Oregon City 42-20 last week.
Canby (2-4) goes up against Lakeridge in a 6A Three Rivers game matchup next week, while Lake Oswego (6-0) locks horns with Clackamas also in a 6A Three Rivers game.
