The Forrest County Agricultural Aggies won the last time they faced the Purvis Tornadoes, and things went their way on Thursday too. Forrest County Agricultural walked away with a 62-50 win over Purvis. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Forrest County Agricultural.
Despite the loss, Purvis still got an impressive performance from Jacoby Robinson, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Robinson hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Judd Gipson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Forrest County Agricultural pushed their record up to 10-12 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Purvis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forrest County Agricultural will stay at home for another game and welcome Sumrall at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Purvis won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Columbia is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
