It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Chaminade-Madonna Lions had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Avant Garde Academy at home to the tune of 67-0. The victory was just business as usual for Chaminade-Madonna, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Chaminade-Madonna to victory were Arwin Jackson and Cedrick Bailey. Jackson rushed for 58 yards and two touchdowns, while Bailey threw for 106 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.
Chaminade-Madonna has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.08 points. As for Avant Garde Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Chaminade-Madonna will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cardinal Newman at 7:30 p.m. Cardinal Newman is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Avant Garde Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
