Central Connecticut II West recap Sept. 26, 2012
ROBERT QUINN FLEETING and RASHAD RAMSEY provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bristol Central. The longest such play in Central Connecticut II West this season, the connection resulted in 75 yards.
Middletown took down Bristol Eastern 43-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Windsor's dynamic duo of FLEETING and RAMSEY proved tough for the Rams to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. FLEETING threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns and RAMSEY had 123 yards receiving. RYHIEME MOORE helped Windsor's passing attack out by catching one ball for 50 yards.
Ivan Guadalupe was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 113 yards on 23 carries as Farmington topped Bristol Central. Jeremy Buck also contributed to the rushing game with 31 yards on the ground.
Windsor's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. FLEETING has thrown for 440 yards and three touchdowns this season, while RAMSEY has six catches for 181 yards. JAYLEN BERRY leads the league in rushing with 216 yards.
Two of the top units in Central Connecticut II West will face off this week when Windsor takes on the Lancers. Robert Fleeting's team's offense has racked up 91 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Bristol Eastern has allowed only 56 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Warriors take on Michael Archangelo's team. As it stands, Windsor is in first, while the Lancers are in fourth.
The Warriors led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Douglas Pina's team. FLEETING ran for 80 yards in the win.
