Soccer Game Preview: East Davidson vs. South Davidson

East Davidson is a perfect 9-0 against South Davidson since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

East Davidson is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Salisbury two weeks ago. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, East Davidson's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, South Davidson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Thomasville, falling 5-2.

South Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-2. As for East Davidson, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10.

East Davidson was able to grind out a solid win over South Davidson when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
