Notre Dame is 2-8 against Trinity Christian since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Christian Warriors at 4:45 p.m. Notre Dame will be strutting in after a win while Trinity Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Wednesday, Notre Dame didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Clay-Battelle, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Notre Dame.
Selena Wilson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Fryer, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 64-27 defeat at the hands of Morgantown. Trinity Christian has struggled against Morgantown recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Notre Dame now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Trinity Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Notre Dame was dealt a bruising 66-21 defeat at the hands of Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in February. Can Notre Dame avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
