The Goose Creek Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 31 points or more this season. They breezed by Woodland on the road to the tune of 60-25. With Goose Creek ahead 31-11 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Goose Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Demi Gray, who scored 12 points. The matchup was Gray's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiyanna Moses, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Woodland had strong showings from Kah'Liyah Geddis, who scored nine points, and Lyniah Kitt, who scored seven points. Geddis scored a full 36% of Woodland's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Goose Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Woodland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goose Creek will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Carvers Bay at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Carvers Bay is ranked 124th, while Goose Creek is ranked 103rd). As for Woodland, they will head out on the road to face off against Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Orangeburg-Wilkinson is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
