Superior ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-41 walloping at the hands of Joseph City. Superior has struggled against Joseph City recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Joseph City to victory were Landon Miller and Jared Layden. Miller scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Layden scored 25 points along with four steals. The game was Layden's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Eli James was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Superior's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Joseph City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Superior will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Thomas at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Joseph City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Michael at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. St. Michael is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
