Sullivan East's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Lingerfelt, who threw for 276 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also punched in one rushing score. A healthy portion of Lingerfelt's aerial production (125 yards to be exact) went to Blue Proffitt, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Johnson County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Johnathan Lisi out in front who rushed for 101 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. What's more, Lisi racked up 31 passing yards, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Brayden Dickens also helped out as he racked up 133 rushing yards.
Looking ahead, Sullivan East will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Chuckey-Doak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnson County, they will head out to face off against Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
