The Concord Christian Academy Minutemen lost against the Faith Baptist School Falcons last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Concord Christian Academy took a 60-43 bruising from the Falcons. Concord Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Concord Christian Academy had strong showings from Carlin Hollis - Homeschool, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, and Gabriel Franco, who scored 16 points. Hollis - Homeschool is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Leading Faith Baptist School to victory were Eli Miller and Zach Miller. Miller scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Miller scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Miller continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jordan Juris was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Concord Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Faith Baptist School, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord Christian Academy will take on the Knights at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Baptist School, they will head out on the road to face off against the Flames at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Greenwood Mennonite is ranked 47th in Delaware, while the Falcons are ranked 27th in Maryland).
