The Beachside Barracudas extended their postseason success on Wednesday against the Orange Park Raiders. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 victory over the Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Beachside.
Beachside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madilyn (Madi) Ray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Ray has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Cremen, who scored 12 points along with six assists and four steals.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Piera Alexander, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Alexander hasn't dropped below three steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Mychaela Parker, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Beachside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Orange Park, they dropped their record down to 12-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Beachside will face off against Ponte Vedra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Beachside is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season. Orange Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
