This season hasn't been kind to the Furlow Charter School Falcons, who are still winless after their 11th match. They were outmatched by Manchester on the road and fell 84-3. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Furlow Charter School has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Furlow Charter School still got an impressive performance from Kamari Deriso, who scored two points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Manchester got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zy'terrious Grey out in front who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grey has scored all season. Brontae Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds and seven steals.
Furlow Charter School's defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.9 points per game. As for Manchester, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Furlow Charter School will head out on the road to challenge Quitman County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Manchester, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Macon County at 7:30 p.m. Macon County will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
