Baseball Recap: Enterprise Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

While Enterprise's win against Fairhope wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Enterprise's pitcher stepped up to hand Fairhope a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.

Fairhope's batters probably weren't too happy with Brady Richardson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up four walks). That's the most strikeouts Richardson has posted over his last five contests.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cayden Boutwell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

The victory (which was Enterprise's third in a row) raised their record to 19-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Fairhope, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Enterprise will challenge Marbury at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Enterprise 2.8, Marbury 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Fairhope, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spanish Fort at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
