The Lincoln Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Bartram Trail Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Lincoln was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Buchholz on Saturday. The Trojans put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 10-4 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Chase Fuller made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other pitching news, Ethan LaFuria looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on TJ Harley, who scored two runs and stole three bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Dietz, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bartram Trail, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Parkview on Wednesday, sneaking past 7-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Croix DiBacco looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Jonathan Bay was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Colt Brown was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Bartram Trail always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview only posted an OBP of .355.
Lincoln's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-9. As for Bartram Trail, their record now sits at 10-14.
Lincoln beat Bartram Trail 3-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
