Volleyball Recap: Aubrey Franz Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat North Hunterdon

North Hunterdon came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Rutgers Prep, but Laela Domanski wouldn't allow it. The Argonauts blew past the Lions 3-0 on Monday with plenty of help from Domanski, who had 20 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Rutgers Prep not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept North Hunterdon between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

Rutgers Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubrey Franz, who had 12 kills, three digs, and one block. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Panacek, who had 21 assists.

Rutgers Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are a perfect 6-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Rutgers Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for North Hunterdon, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rutgers Prep will square off against Delaware Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Hunterdon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsborough at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
