The Evansville Memorial Tigers pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Evansville Bosse by a score of 62-60. Evansville Memorial was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Evansville Bosse apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Evansville Memorial's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Ellspermann, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ellspermann has scored all season. Asher Evans was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Evansville Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Evansville Bosse, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3.
Evansville Memorial will be home for the holidays to greet Heritage Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Heritage Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. As for Evansville Bosse, they will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
