Mascorro has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Cesar Silva was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists.
La Villa's loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-25. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Kaufer, their win bumped their record up to 11-18.
