Pathfinder RVT hasn't had much luck against Smith Vo-Tech recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Pioneers will host the Vikings at 3:30 p.m. Pathfinder RVT is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
Pathfinder RVT had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Palmer on Saturday. The Pioneers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Pioneers have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brayden Mega and Grayson Griswold were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Mega tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs but no hits. Meanwhile, Griswold pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mega has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Mega got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Griswold went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That double marked the first that Mega has hit this season.
In other batting news, Emerson Boronski was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Tim Russell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Smith Vo-Tech has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.45 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-2 to Westfield Technical Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since June 4, 2024.
Pathfinder RVT pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Smith Vo-Tech, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.
Pathfinder RVT took their win against Smith Vo-Tech in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1 score. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
