The Lakeland Preparatory Lions will head out to  face off against the Humboldt Vikings  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Lakeland Preparatory was handed a heart-breaking two-point  loss in their last  matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Craigmont  on Friday. The Lions simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chiefs 40-6.
 Lakeland Preparatory's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Brett Godwin led the charge by throwing for 303 yards and five  TDs.  Colten Kirby helped  Godwin out on the ground, rushing for 163 yards and one  score.
 The home team had won the previous three meetings between Humboldt and Gleason, and Humboldt kept the tradition alive. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  24-22  victory over the Bulldogs  on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Vikings have posted  since October 11, 2024.
 Lakeland Preparatory's record now sits at 4-5. As for Humboldt, their record is now an identical 4-5.
