The Horeb Christian Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They strolled past Cristo Rey with points to spare, taking the game 58-39. That looming 58-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Horeb Christian yet this season.
Horeb Christian was led to victory by Ifeanyi Ezeala and Manny Cid, Jr.. Ezeala scored 18 points, while Cid, Jr. scored 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cid, Jr. has scored at least 25% of Horeb Christian's points.
Horeb Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Cristo Rey, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horeb Christian will take on Archimedean at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Archimedean is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. Cristo Rey's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sheridan Hills Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
