The Durand Railroaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-44 win over Byron on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Durand has managed all season.
Durand got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Levi Smith out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Smith continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Brayden Joslin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight assists and seven steals.
Durand now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Byron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Durand will head out on the road to face off against Hill-McCloy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron will be home for the holidays to greet Lakeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
