The Franklin Regional Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Fox Chapel Foxes at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fox Chapel will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Franklin Regional extended their winning streak to four last Wednesday. The Panthers never let Gateway get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The contest marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season.
Chloe Lancaster made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. Lancaster was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Fox Chapel got the win against Mars on Monday by a conclusive 13-1. The win continues a trend for the Foxes in their matchups with the Fightin' Planets: they've now won three in a row.
Franklin Regional pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Fox Chapel, their record is now 9-2-1.
Everything went Franklin Regional's way against Fox Chapel in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Franklin Regional made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
