The Oak Grove Grizzlies pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 82-62 loss at the hands of Northern Guilford. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (56), Oak Grove still had to take the loss.
Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JB Shabazz, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Nunez, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Northern Guilford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Grove is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Thomasville at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Northern Guilford, they will challenge Atkins at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
